OluImo Slams Sycophantic Politicians Calling for Imo’s Liberation in 2027

Renowned activist Prince Maduba Chukwudi Francis, also known as OluImo, has harshly criticized leaders within the Mazi Organisation for their hypocritical and sycophantic rhetoric surrounding the idea of “liberating” Imo State. This comes in response to the recent shift in political discourse, where those who once praised Governor Hope Uzodinma for allegedly liberating Imo are now calling for Mazi Chima Amadi to rescue the state in 2027. OluImo has pointed out the contradictions and the lack of integrity within this political faction, which has created an environment ripe for manipulation and opportunism.

For the past six years, many political figures have been singing the praises of Governor Uzodinma, claiming that under his leadership, Imo had been “liberated” from its struggles. However, the same voices that celebrated this supposed liberation are now echoing calls for Mazi Chima Amadi to come and free Imo once more. OluImo has raised pertinent questions about the credibility of these claims, asking, “Which Imo is Mazi Chima Amadi coming to liberate when his spokesman has repeatedly told us that Imo is safe, secure, and free?”

In a forceful statement, OluImo criticized the level of sycophancy, untruthfulness, and bellicosity within the current generation of young politicians, particularly those within the Mazi Organisation. He remarked on the irony of the situation, saying, “How can a mouthpiece of the ruling party, who for years has praised the incumbent governor for liberating the state, now be preaching that Imo is still in bondage? What has changed, and why are they suddenly calling for a new savior?”

OluImo described this shift in narrative as both disingenuous and opportunistic. He expressed his frustration with the political class, especially those who flip-flop on their positions to align with the prevailing political winds. “It is high time we put a stop to these uncircumcised elements who are parading themselves as politicians with repute and integrity,” he asserted. His use of the phrase “uncircumcised elements” is a sharp critique of those he believes are engaging in dishonesty for personal gain, without any true commitment to the welfare of Imo State.

The recent calls for Mazi Amadi’s candidacy in 2027 have sparked debates across Imo State. Critics argue that Mazi Amadi’s political track record is untested and that it’s premature for anyone to claim he will liberate the state when his ability to lead has yet to be proven. Those pushing this narrative, according to OluImo, have undermined the credibility of their own claims by contradicting their earlier support of Governor Uzodinma’s leadership. This flip-flopping raises serious questions about their sincerity and genuine concern for the state’s future.

OluImo’s comments have ignited a broader conversation about the state of politics in Imo, especially among younger generations of politicians. It has become evident that the political landscape is plagued with inconsistency, with individuals seeming to change their loyalties based on convenience rather than principle. For the people of Imo, it raises an important question: Are these politicians genuinely interested in the progress and liberation of the state, or are they simply seeking power for its own sake?

As we approach the 2027 election cycle, OluImo’s call for integrity and consistency should resonate with all Imo citizens. The state deserves leadership grounded in honesty, transparency, and a true commitment to the public good. It’s time to move beyond political opportunism and demand politicians who stand by their words and deliver on their promises.

The future of Imo State must not be subjected to the whims of those who prioritize self-interest over the collective well-being of its people. Imo deserves better than sycophantic politicians who seek to manipulate the narrative for personal gain. Only through genuine leadership, rooted in honesty and integrity, will Imo find its true path to liberation and progress.
