OLAEDO CONCLUDES GRASSROOTS CONSULTATIONS ACROSS 11 NGOR-OKPALA WARDS, ENGAGES APC EXECUTIVES ON DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES
Pat Ekeji-led team seeks grassroots input, strengthens party engagement ahead of 2027
The APC Federal House of Representatives candidate for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency, Hon. Chief Barr. (Mrs.) Pat Ekeji, under the OLAEDO 2027 platform, has successfully concluded a comprehensive consultation and engagement tour across all 11 INEC Registration Areas/Wards in Ngor-Okpala LGA, interacting with APC LGA and Ward Executives on the challenges, needs and development priorities of their communities.
The grassroots consultations formed part of the OLAEDO 2027 team’s broader engagement ahead of the 2027 elections, with emphasis on strengthening relationships with the party structure, listening directly to grassroots stakeholders and ensuring that the concerns and aspirations of the people remain central to its political engagement.
During the visits, Hon. Barr. Pat Ekeji and her team met with APC executives across the 11 wards, listened to their concerns and received valuable perspectives on issues affecting their respective communities. The engagements also provided an opportunity for party leaders and ward officials to make suggestions on areas requiring greater attention, effective representation and sustainable development.
The consultation covered the following 11 INEC wards in Ngor-Okpala LGA:

- Elelem/Obike
- Ozuzu
- Eziama/Okpala
- Imerienwe
- Nguru/Umuowa
- Ngor/Ihitte/Umukabia
- Ohekelem/Nnorie

- Logara/Umuohiagu
Speaking during the engagements, Hon. Barr. Pat Ekeji reaffirmed her commitment to maintaining an open, accessible and inclusive relationship with the APC party structure and the people at the grassroots.
She emphasised the importance of listening to the people before developing policies and representation priorities, noting that effective leadership must be informed by the actual experiences, needs and aspirations of the communities she seeks to serve.
The consultations also focused on the need for greater unity within the party, stronger grassroots participation, effective representation, youth and women inclusion, improved community development and a sustained connection between elected representatives and the people.
Among those who participated in the engagements were Chief Mayor Nweke, Director-General, OLAEDO 2027; Lady Tina Okere, woman mobilizer; Hon. Daberechi Akwa, APC LGA Chairman, Ngor-Okpala LGA; Hon. Remy Okere, members of the APC LGA Executive, Ward Executives and other party stakeholders.
The successful completion of the 11-ward consultation exercise marks another phase in the OLAEDO 2027 team’s grassroots engagement strategy as it continues to build relationships with party stakeholders and gather community-level perspectives ahead of the 2027 political season.
The OLAEDO 2027 team said the views, concerns and recommendations gathered during the consultations will help shape its broader engagement and representation agenda for the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency.
The message from the grassroots engagement is clear: listen to the people, work with the party structure and build a representation agenda around the real needs and aspirations of the people.
