In a heartwarming display of solidarity and communal spirit, EZUMEZU Ngor Okpala, a renowned sociocultural group, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late HRM Eze Prof. (Dr). Noble Chidiebere Eke, Orie I of Nnorie Autonomous Community, Ngor Okpala LGA, Imo State, who has passed on recently. The visit, which took place on Thursday 13 March 2025, was a testament to the group’s commitment to upholding the values of empathy, compassion, and community.

Led by the indefatigable Nze Henry Opara (Oke Ngidima), the delegation of EZUMEZU Ngor Okpala members converged at the Eke Royal family residence, bearing words of comfort and solace. Nze Henry Opara, in his capacity as the leader of the delegation, delivered a poignant message of condolence, extolling the virtues of the late monarch and acknowledging the immense loss his passing has occasioned.
“We are here today to stand in solidarity with the Eke Royal family, to share in their grief, and to offer our collective support during this difficult time,” Nze Opara declared. “The late Eze Prof. Noble Chidiebere Eke was a towering figure, a champion of his people, and a shining exemplar of leadership. He was a man of unwavering integrity, who held the traditional stool with utmost reverence, dignity, and sacredness. Throughout his illustrious reign, he served his people with truth, justice, and compassion, earning the respect and admiration of his subjects.”

Members of the EZUMEZU group such as Mr Vinicius Fintan,Secretary, Mrs Goodluck Onyekwe, Women Coordinator & Mr Longinus Ekeuhie, Security detail, Okwe Court Area, who gave their separate remarks, lauded The late Monarch, HRM Eze Prof. Noble Eke’scommitment to integrity, truth, and justice was a hallmark of his leadership. As a custodian of tradition and culture, he was a steadfast guardian of the values and customs that defined Nnorie people and their traditional stool of Orie I of Nnorie. His palace was a beacon of hope for those seeking redress, and his wise counsel was sought by many.
