NYCN Okigwe Zone Honours Chief Chima Uzobuihe For Service And Youth Empowerment

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Okigwe Zone, has commended Chief (Hon.) Chima Bathram Uzobuihe for his outstanding contributions to youth development and community empowerment across Ehime Mbano and the wider Okigwe region.

The commendation was issued in a statement signed by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Comrade Kelechi Iwuchukwu, who described Chief Uzobuihe as “a man of integrity, foresight, and administrative excellence.”

Iwuchukwu, who once worked under Chief Uzobuihe during his time as Director of the Imo Job Centre and Senior Special Assistant to former Imo State Governor, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, praised his former boss for his enduring dedication to human capital development.

“It gladdens my heart to see my former boss and elder brother continuing his service to humanity through targeted empowerment and human capital development programmes that are changing lives daily,” Iwuchukwu said. “Such enduring compassion deserves public recognition and collective support.”

According to the NYCN, Chief Uzobuihe’s efforts in promoting youth skill acquisition, self-reliance, and inclusive growth reflect the true essence of sustainable community development. The council noted that his initiatives have provided lasting opportunities for young people in Umueze II, Ehime Mbano, and beyond.

Reaffirming its mission to promote youth engagement and leadership, the NYCN Okigwe Zone emphasized that celebrating individuals who contribute to community upliftment is both a moral and civic duty.

The Council also appealed for logistical and institutional support to strengthen its zonal operations, disclosing plans to establish a standard youth development office that would serve as a hub for empowerment programmes and youth coordination across the zone.

Iwuchukwu expressed optimism that Chief Uzobuihe would continue to play a vital role in advancing this vision, describing him as “a leader whose legacy is defined by service, not status.”

The statement concluded with the Council’s assurance of continued partnership with Chief Uzobuihe and other stakeholders on initiatives that promote youth empowerment, community progress, and socio-economic growth across Okigwe Zone.
