Governor Hope Uzodimma Signals Cabinet Reshuffle, APC Governorship Process, And Strategic Political Direction For Imo
Governor Hope Uzodimma has announced that his administration will soon embark on a cabinet reshuffle and expansion as part of efforts to strengthen governance and sustain the developmental strides recorded across Imo State.
Addressing members of the Imo State Council of Elders and the Traditional Rulers’ Council, Governor Uzodimma disclosed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will commence its governorship succession process within the next three months, emphasizing the need for unity, consultation, and strategic engagement among stakeholders.
The Governor urged leaders from Owerri Zone to engage in meaningful discussions with their counterparts from Okigwe Zone on the way forward, stressing the importance of consensus and cooperation in advancing the state’s political future.
Governor Uzodimma also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the progress of Imo State, expressing confidence that the next governor will be a clear-headed leader, guided by the fear of God and committed to consolidating, rather than reversing, the achievements of his government.
Speaking on national politics, the Governor praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support and recognition of Imo State, assuring that the people of the state would reciprocate by working towards his re-election for a second term.
