A Giant Voice Has Fallen Silent, but His Courage Will Echo Through Generations

A Tribute to Ndaa Paddy Obinna (The Pen Has Fallen. The Legacy Lives On.)

The Bring Back Ohakim (BBO) 2027 Organization received with profound shock, deep sadness, and a heavy heart the heartbreaking news of the passing to eternal glory of our dear father, elder statesman, friend, adviser, and unwavering advocate for justice, Ndaa Paddy Obinna, as announced by his beloved son, Sir Chiagozie Paddy Obinna, KSJI, JP.

Today, Imo State has lost one of its finest voices. The BBO family has lost a pillar of wisdom. The cause of justice has lost one of its most courageous defenders.

Until his passing, Ndaa Paddy Obinna was far more than a member of the Bring Back Ohakim family. He was one of our most respected advisers and counsellors—a man whose wisdom guided, whose encouragement strengthened, and whose integrity inspired everyone privileged to know him.

Ndaa Paddy Obinna was a fearless patriot who believed that justice must never be sacrificed on the altar of convenience. Throughout his life, he consistently spoke truth to power, regardless of whose interests were threatened. His passionate advocacy for fairness, equity, and justice in the political affairs of Imo State was not driven by personal gain but by an unwavering conviction that every citizen deserved equal treatment and every zone deserved justice.

He was among the rare few who chose principle over popularity. Even when standing alone, he remained steadfast. Even when the truth was inconvenient, he proclaimed it without fear. Even when his convictions exposed him to criticism or personal risk, he never retreated. He believed that silence in the face of injustice was itself an injustice.

His words carried wisdom. His counsel carried clarity. His life carried honour.

While we mourn his departure, we also celebrate a life that was rich in service, courage, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of truth and justice. His voice may now be silent, but the values he lived for will continue to inspire generations yet unborn.

The Bring Back Ohakim Organization will forever cherish his contributions to our movement and remain eternally grateful for his steadfast support, invaluable guidance, and fatherly counsel. His legacy will remain permanently written in the history of our struggle for fairness, equity, and justice in Imo State.

To Sir Chiagozie Paddy Obinna, the entire Paddy Obinna family of Umuocham, Emekuku, Owerri North Local Government Area, and all those whose lives were touched by this remarkable man, we extend our heartfelt condolences. We pray that Almighty God grants you the strength, comfort, and grace to bear this irreplaceable loss.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take solace in the assurance that a righteous man has gone home to receive his eternal reward.

May the Good Lord grant the gentle soul of Ndaa Paddy Obinna eternal rest, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his memory forever remain a blessing, and may his extraordinary legacy continue to illuminate the path of justice, courage, and truth.

Rest well, Ndaa.

Your pen has fallen.
Your voice is silent.
But your legacy will speak forever.

Signed:

Capt. Bishop C. Johnson (United States Army, Retired)
