RALPH NWOSU INSPECTS PROGRESS ON IMO REVENUE SERVICE BUILDING PROJECT

The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu, has carried out an inspection of the ongoing construction of the 11-storey Imo Revenue Service (IRS) Building, a flagship project designed to enhance the working environment of IRS personnel and boost the state’s revenue administration.
During the visit, the Commissioner assessed the level of work done and expressed satisfaction with both the pace and quality of construction. According to the site report, piling and pile caps are approximately 70% completed, while the substructure is nearing completion. Work on the superstructure is also advancing concurrently from one section of the building to ensure timely delivery. This synchronized approach, he noted, demonstrates the contractor’s commitment to meeting agreed deadlines.
The Project Engineer reassured the Commissioner that adequate manpower, materials, and equipment have been mobilized to guarantee timely execution in line with professional standards. The building is being constructed based on approved specifications and is supported by a reinforced concrete pile foundation system designed to carry the superstructure effectively.
Reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to the project, Nwosu urged the contractor to sustain the current momentum to ensure completion within the stipulated period. He emphasized that the IRS Building remains a top priority for the Government and pledged continuous cooperation and support to ensure its successful delivery.
