OZOPROF Appoints Former Ngor-Okpala Lawmaker As Organizing Secretary

The Owerri Zone Progressives Forum (OZOPROF) has officially announced the appointment of Hon. Athan Ozo Eke as the new Organizing Secretary of the body. His appointment takes immediate effect.

Hon. Eke, who hails from Umuowa in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, is widely regarded as a seasoned grassroots mobilizer and a dedicated community leader. He previously served as the Councillor representing Nguru/Umuowa Ward in the Ngor Okpala Legislative Council between 2010 and 2011. His political trajectory also includes serving as the Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the LGA, where he distinguished himself through active engagement and strategic mobilization of young people.

In the appointment letter issued to him, the leadership of OZOPROF expressed confidence in his ability to bring his wealth of political experience, organizational skill, and deep community ties to bear in the execution of his new responsibilities. The Forum urged him to remain steadfast, proactive, and committed to the values and objectives of the organization as it continues to champion development and political progress within the Owerri zone.

Hon. Eke’s appointment has been described by observers as a strategic move aimed at strengthening the Forum’s structure, improving coordination, and enhancing its influence at the grassroots level across the zone.
