THE RESCUE MISSION BEGINS: Over 50,000 Imolites Demand Dr. Ikedi Ohakim’s Return – BBO 2027 Vows He Will Be On The 2027 Ballot!

In a powerful and resounding declaration that is sending waves of hope across Imo State and the diaspora, Bring Back Ohakim (BBO 2027) has given absolute assurance that His Excellency, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, the former Governor of Imo State, will contest and feature prominently on the ballot for the 2027 governorship election.
After months of intense grassroots mobilization, BBO 2027 has successfully secured over 50,000 signatures from passionate Imolites both at home and in the diaspora, passionately urging Dr. Ohakim to answer the clarion call to rescue the state. This massive petition stands as a clear testament to the deep yearning of the people for the return of tested, purposeful, and visionary leadership.
The group further disclosed that it has raised sufficient funds to purchase both the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for Dr. Ohakim, irrespective of the cost. This financial readiness underscores the group’s unwavering commitment and readiness to go the full distance.
Speaking on the state of affairs in Imo State, BBO 2027 painted a poignant picture of the painful reality that has gripped the state since 2011:
“Since 2011, Imo State has suffered heartbreaking developmental setbacks caused by poor leadership and visionless governance. Our once-thriving state has been turned into a laboratory for political experimentation by marauders and untested individuals who care nothing about our collective future. They have toyed with our children’s tomorrow while enriching themselves. We cannot and we will not sit idly by any longer!”
The movement issued a passionate appeal to all well-meaning Imolites:
“This is not about politics as usual. This is about the survival and restoration of our dear state. We cannot continue to sacrifice competence, experience, and purposeful leadership on the altar of affirmative action or mediocrity. The time has come to bring back a leader who delivered visible, people-oriented development; a leader who gave Imo State pride and direction.”
BBO 2027 emphasized that Dr. Ikedi Ohakim represents the best chance for Imo to reclaim its lost glory, restore hope to the youths, rebuild infrastructure, and reposition the state as the undisputed economic and political powerhouse of the South East.
