GOVERNOR UZODIMMA, OHAKIM, EKOMARU, ILOMUANYA, OTHERS FELICITATE WITH SPEAKER OLEMGBE AT CHILD DEDICATION
The family of the Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, was filled with joy as friends, political associates, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the dedication of his daughter, Baby Christpina Chiziterem Olemgbe. The occasion was marked by jubilation and thanksgiving, reflecting the family’s gratitude to God.
The event commenced with a thanksgiving Holy Mass at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Umuawuchi, Uboma, in Ihitte-Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State, where prayers were offered for the child’s protection, good health, and a future blessed with divine purpose. The dedication attracted an impressive array of dignitaries from within and outside the state, led by the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who was accompanied by the First Lady, Barr. Chioma Uzodimma. Former Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, was also in attendance, adding prestige to the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Governor Uzodimma expressed appreciation to the people of Ihitte-Uboma for their unwavering support and commitment to development. He described Speaker Olemgbe as an intelligent, disciplined, humble, and hardworking leader who has continued to discharge his responsibilities creditably. The governor further demonstrated his support for the host communities by donating funds toward the completion of St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Umuawuchi, and the renovation of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Uboma.
In his response, Speaker Chike Olemgbe expressed profound gratitude to the governor for his consistent support and encouragement, noting that his emergence as Speaker was made possible by Governor Uzodimma’s backing. He also highlighted the numerous developmental benefits Ihitte-Uboma has received under the present administration.
Earlier in his homily, the parish priest, Rev. Fr. Dr. Mark Okoro, stressed the importance of humility in leadership, noting that true greatness is rooted in service. He commended Speaker Olemgbe and his wife for dedicating their child to God, describing the act as a reflection of faith and gratitude.

Chukwuma Ekomaru, the Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty Dr. Cletus Ikechukwu Ilomuanya, the Secretary to the State Government, Chef Cosmas Iwu, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie, the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt.
