OHAKIM WELCOMES PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU TO IMO STATE, COMMENDS GOVERNOR UZODINMA’S ACHIEVEMENTS

The former Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim, has warmly welcomed the scheduled visit of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to Imo State on Tuesday.
Dr. Ohakim described the visit as a significant and invaluable opportunity for the President to witness first-hand the remarkable developmental strides being championed by Governor Hope Uzodinma.
He noted that the President will commission landmark projects including the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road, a new flyover, the remodeled Assumpta Cathedral roundabout, and the ultra-modern Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre. These, he said, stand as concrete evidence of Governor Uzodinma’s commitment to infrastructural renewal, economic expansion, and the repositioning of Imo State as an attractive destination for investment and tourism.
Dr. Ohakim also pointed to the scheduled public presentation of a book authored by Governor Uzodinma, chronicling the decade-long achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in governance. According to him, the publication is a testament to the APC’s consistency in championing development and progress across the nation.
While commending Governor Uzodinma for his bold leadership and transformation agenda in Imo, Dr. Ohakim praised President Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda and for demonstrating unwavering commitment to national development. He expressed optimism that the visit would deepen stakeholder engagement, foster economic growth, and strengthen public-private partnerships that will benefit Ndi Imo and Nigerians at large.
“By this visit, President Tinubu is not only reaffirming his bond with Ndi Imo but also underscoring his dedication to building a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria,” Dr. Ohakim stated.
The former Governor further noted that the President’s presence will help dispel baseless criticisms and consolidate the goodwill already generated by Governor Uzodinma’s administration.
Dr. Ohakim concluded by wishing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a safe journey to Imo State and a most memorable and fruitful visit.
