■Book launch, a testament to APC’s leadership credentials
Former Governor of Imo State, Dr. Ikedi Ohakim has extended a warm welcome to President Bola Tinubu on his scheduled visit to Imo State on September 30, 2025. He said that the visit presents an invaluable opportunity for the President to witness firsthand the remarkable strides made by Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration in infrastructural development, economic growth, and hospitality.
According Dr Ohakim, in a statement he personally endorsed, the highlights of activities lined up for the President’s visit includes the commissioning of the legacy projects of Governor Hope Uzodinma and the launch of the book on the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria in the last ten years.
Commissioning of Legacy Projects
The former governor pointed out that President Tinubu will commission several key projects, including the Owerri-Mbaise-Umuahia road, a new flyover, and improvements at the Assumpta Cathedral roundabout and the Ultra Modern Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre.
Launch of a Book on APC Achievements
“Mr. President will also launch a book authored by Governor Uzodinma, chronicling the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) decade-long achievements in governance. This publication serves as a testament to the party’s commitment to progress and development,” Dr Ohakim stated.
Dr. Ohakim further commended Governor Uzodimma for his visionary leadership and transformative initiatives, which he posited, have positioned Imo State as a model for good governance and infrastructural development in the Southeast region. He stressed that Governor Uzodinma’s administration has not only enhanced the state’s economic prospects but has also made it an attractive destination for investment and tourism
On the significance of President Tinubu’s visit to Imo State, Ohakim averred that the visit underscores the APC’s dedication to showcasing its achievements and reaffirming its commitment to the Renewed Hope agenda for Nigerians. “By engaging with stakeholders in Imo State, President Tinubu aims to foster economic growth, strengthen public-private partnerships, and promote national development,” he opined.
Dr. Ohakim expressed optimism that the President’s visit will dispel baseless criticisms and also reinforce the goodwill generated by Governor Uzodinma’s administration. He wishes President Tinubu a memorable and productive visit to Imo State, reiterating the people’s commitment to the Renewed Hope mantra,the statement said.
