Barely one week after pointedly accusing Hon Chika Ibekwe, Chairperson of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, of being partly responsible for the misguided attacks on Gov Hope Uzodimma, by some elements in the area,Hon Chukwuma Anuforo, has again appealed to the governor to act fast to prevent APC in the council, from total collapse.

He said he made the passionate appeal in his capacity as a grassroots leader with indepth knowledge of what was going on in the party in the area, insisting that going by what was happening itoday in APC he was convinced that, Hon Ibekwe was on a suicide mission to kill, and bury the party in the area.

The GLO of Obiangwu Ward in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, maintained that the reason why he kept raising the red flag on her activities,was not because of any personal interest,but because of his deep concern and love for the party, Ngor Okpala and the governor governor.

According to him, since she was sworn into office the chairperson had been running a man show. she was not in good terms with all officials of 3R administration in the council, both appointed and elected,including the commissioners and the House of Assembly member.

He noted that it was the same no love lost situation with the councillors elected with her to manage the affairs of the council with her. According to him, she is at loggerheads with majority of them, and the genesis of their disagreement was the alleged monthly payment of five million naira to a particular leader in the council,who is the only person she listens to and works with in the area.

He stressed that the same leader she allegedly doles out five million naira to monthly, was strongly suspected to be playing double faced politics of being APC in the morning, and other parties at night.

He pointed out that this perception was recently reinforced by the recent dumping of APC by many members of the party, from Nguru/Umuowa Ward Six, which is his ward.

The GLO recalled that during the recent visit of Hon Macdonald Ebere, PhD, Imo State APC Chairman to the LGA, he had raised the alarm about the impending defections, but his concerns were dismissed with the wave of the hand.

But, sadly, just one week after his revealation, several key officers of the party in Nguru/ Umuowa Ward Six, Umuhu Ward Nine and other wards in the council, dumped the party.

He alleged that instead of listening to wise counsel and retracing her steps in the interest of the council and party, Hon Ibekwe goes around bragging that she’s untouchable, given the fact that her mother had an unbreakable relationship with the governor,even as she runs to Abuja every other week for no justifiable reason.

Hon Anuforo made it categorically clear that danger was looming for APC In the council, due to the anti party and anti people leadership style of the chairperson, and pleaded with the governor to urgently intervene by investigating his allegations against Hon Ibekwe.

He also reiterated his call on her to change her leadership style, by emulating her colleagues who are doing well in office, like the chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Barr Iheukwumere Alaribe,whose laudable performance was giving APC good name in his local government area.
