OVER 1,000 INDIGENT WOMEN AND STUDENTS TO BENEFIT FROM AMAJIRIONWU’S CHRISTMAS LARGESSE AND EDUCATION SUPPORT INITIATIVE

In an effort to alleviate hunger and bring joy to underprivileged families while promoting education, Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu has targeted over 1,000 indigent women and students from the 29 autonomous communities in Ngor Okpala LGA as beneficiaries of the third edition of the MMIRIOMA Christmas Palliative (MCP) 2024.

This initiative aims to relieve the financial burden faced by many families by providing financial assistance of ₦25,000 each to over 360 prospective candidates preparing for their Senior Secondary School Examinations next year. Additionally, it will help over 600 indigent women who may struggle to afford food items during the festive season.

The significance of this generous gesture from the former Ngor Okpala State constituency parliamentarian is particularly noteworthy, as it comes at a time when he is not holding any public office. Thus, it can be characterized as a pure humanitarian effort to alleviate the suffering of the people, especially during a period of economic hardship in the country.

During the first edition of this initiative in December 2021, over 54 petty traders received ₦50,000 each to support their small-scale businesses, and an additional 150 indigent women benefited from the program.

The second edition, held in December 2022, saw over 660 students and indigent women receive support.

It is therefore fitting to say that Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu has established a tradition of extending his generosity to uplift the indigent and widows, particularly during this season when Christians celebrate the birth of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ.

The event is scheduled for Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. Join Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu and witness yet another historic occasion.
