2028 IMO GUBER: OWERRI ZONE LEADERS OF THOUGHT SEEK ROYAL SUPPORT OF TRADITIONAL RULERS TO EMBARK ON SENSITIZATION TOUR

The search for the soul of Governor Uzodimma’s successor have taken a new dimension as the Owerri zone leaders of thought seek the royal blessing and support of traditional rulers of Owerri zone extraction to embark on the zones sensitization tour scheduled to commence on 29th November 2025.
The lead administrator Barr Kingsley Ononuju while welcoming the traditional rulers noted that the meeting is at the instance of Owerri zone leaders of thought to give honor to whom honor is due by seeking the blessings of the father’s of various communities.
The meeting took place on Wednesday 19th November 2025 at the Civic Center residence of the operational leader of Owerri zone leaders of thought Prince Charles Amadi.
Prince Amadi during his speech stated the resolve of the leaders to take the message of equity down to the grassroot of the nine local governments that make up Owerri zone, noting that the leaders of Owerri zone could not have embarked on the tour without the express permission of the custodians of the culture and tradition of the rural communities by seeking their support and partnership to spread the news of the agitation of the people of Owerri zone, while noting with optimistic that Governor Uzodimma will hand over to Owerri zone come 2028.
Prince Amadi noted that President Generals, youth leaders and women community leaders have been consulted as part of the preparations for the meet the people sensitization tour of Owerri zone.
In his words, another prominent leader of Owerri zone Chief Sir Henry Njoku Ph.D opined that Owerri leaders of thought holds the traditional institution at high esteem and have high regards for constituted authority and the custodians of Owerri zone culture, norms and tradition, haven sacrificed their life time in service to their various communities.
Ikeoha as fondly called stated that as subjects and children of the traditional rulers, the Owerri zone leaders of thought have very high regards and the highest respect for the traditional rulers adding that the leaders of Owerri zone cannot do anything without consulting the traditional rulers who all abandoned their life pursuit to focus on community development, peace, growth and upholding the culture, norms and tradition of the people.
In his voice, Prince Marcelenous Nlemigbo stated that the role of traditional rulers in the society and country cannot be underestimated adding that the traditional rulers play a critical role in the conduct of the policy and affair of the society.
Prince Nlemigbo appealed to the traditional rulers to be part of the success story of Owerri zone interest, noting the enormous benefits accruable to it.
On behalf of the traditional rulers, the Chairman of Owerri zone council of traditional rulers HRM Eze Fred Nwachukwu in his response stated that his appreciation to the leaders is quite enormous sequel to the honor and recognition accorded to the traditional institution by the leaders.
Eze Nwachukwu stated the importance of traditional rulers having first hand information on the gospel of the agitation of the people of Owerri zone through Owerri zone leaders of thought.
The traditional rulers however, gave their royal blessings and encouragement in the pursuit of equity and fairness to the service of Imo people.
Other traditional rulers present at the meeting include HRM Eze Chidiebube Nwaogu, HRM Eze Dr P.N Njoku, HRM Eze Ifeanyi Uwahemu, HRM Eze Sabinus, HRM Eze Possible Austin Uche, HRM Eze M.J.D Nwaturuocha, HRH Eze Francis Ugorji, HRH Eze Sam Ihekwoaba and many others.
Present at the meeting include Okenze S.I Obinna, Hon High Chief Chidi Ibe, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi, Rt Hon Ikenna Elezianya, Chief Hilary Ekeh, Hon Engr Ifeanyi Akwiti amongst others.
