RT. HON. OBINNA EGU FACILITATES CONSTRUCTION OF BRAND-NEW HEALTH CENTERS IN ELELEM & IMERIENWE AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITIES

In another display of dedicated leadership, Rt. Hon. Obinna Egu, the Member representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency, has facilitated the construction of brand-new health centers in Elelem and Imerienwe autonomous communities.

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the lawmaker led contractors on a familiarization visit to the host communities, sparking jubilation and widespread excitement among residents.

At Imerienwe, the occasion was graced by HRH Eze Augustine Ekechi (Ijenwe II of Imerienwe) alongside prominent stakeholders, including Chief Emma Nwogu, Sir Marcellinus Amadi, and Mr. Fabian Amadi, among others.

Meanwhile, the excitement in Elelem was palpable. Community members, particularly women dressed in vibrant uniforms, welcomed Rt. Hon. Egu and his entourage with music, chants, and dance. HRH Eze Goddy Eboh (Eleagu III of Elelem) and members of his cabinet beamed with joy, honoring the lawmaker with a resounding gun salute (Mkpo na Ala);a traditional gesture underscoring the significance of his visit.

During the visit, Rt. Hon. Obinna Egu urged the communities to continue supporting the Governor Hope Uzodimma-led administration, emphasizing that collective efforts would yield more developmental projects.

“We are committed to bringing more dividends of democracy to our people,” he said. “Your support and cooperation are crucial to our success.”

The construction of these health centers is expected to be completed within the next few months, marking Rt. Hon. Egu’s fourth health center project in the constituency;a testament to his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.

Residents of Elelem and Imerienwe can now look forward to enhanced access to quality healthcare services upon completion.

Jude Ukaegbu, LGA Chairman of the APC in Ngor Okpala, who was present in Elelem, his hometown, to welcome the lawmaker.
