IDEATO SOUTH LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

The 7th Assembly of Ideato South Local Government Legislative Council has expressed its unwavering support for Hon. Chief Okwara Okechukwu ‘Morocco’ and his administration.

This follows a unanimous vote of confidence passed by the councilors after assessing the chairman’s first year in office.

The motion, sponsored by Rt. Hon. Ikebundu Johnbosco (Umuakam Umuago Ward) and seconded by Hon. Lady Nnadi Nora (Isiekenesi Ward 2), cited several achievements, including the employment of 140 casual workers, drilling of solar-powered boreholes, rehabilitation of over 20km rural roads, and installation of solar power for the council.

Other notable achievements include the restoration of rural electricity in Dimagu Autonomous Community, construction of a two-bedroom bungalow for an indigent disabled widow, and completion of a late ward chairman’s house.

All the councilors praised the chairman’s efforts, describing his administration as a “Paradigm Shift” for the local government.
