Former Minister Opiah Inaugurates Pro-Tinubu Group, Tasks Coordinators On Grassroots Mobilisation

Former Minister of State for Education, Rt. Hon. Goodluck Opiah, has inaugurated Local Government Area (LGA) Coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Imo State, charging them to intensify grassroots mobilisation and advocacy in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The inauguration ceremony, held at Opiah’s residence in Owerri, drew prominent APC leaders, former lawmakers, and key political stakeholders from across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Opiah explained that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors is a political advocacy platform established to promote, defend, and effectively communicate the policies and programmes of President Tinubu’s administration, noting that Governor Hope Uzodimma serves as the group’s National Leader.

He urged the newly inaugurated coordinators to take the Renewed Hope message to the grassroots, explain government policies to the people, and counter misinformation, stressing that many reforms of the Tinubu administration, including fiscal and economic policies, have resulted in increased revenue and greater5 opportunities for states.

Opiah further warned against political complacency, emphasizing the need for continuous voter engagement, sustained presence at the ward level, and unwavering loyalty to the party.

A major highlight of the event was the inauguration of Chief Hon. Chidi Sylvester Eke as the Ngor-Okpala LGA Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. Widely regarded as a seasoned grassroots politician and mobiliser, Chief Eke was described by party leaders as a strategic asset whose leadership is expected to significantly strengthen APC support and Renewed Hope outreach efforts in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area.
