The first Lady of Imo State and Founder of GoodHope Women’s Initiative, Her Excellency Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, welcomed the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Women’s Health, Dr. Adanna Steinacker, during a courtesy visit in recognition of her recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr. Steinacker, a proud daughter of Imo State, expressed gratitude and shared the Federal Government’s efforts to improve women’s health and reduce maternal and infant mortality.
Dr. Steinacker emphasized her commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 5, focused on health and gender equality. She also expressed a desire for collaboration with the Imo State Government in advancing these causes.
Dr. Mrs. Uzodimma who is also the Secretary of the Renewed Hope Initiatives responded with enthusiasm, stating her readiness to work with the SSA to expand the impact of ongoing initiatives in women’s health and empowerment across the state.
Also present were Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu, and Executive Secretary of the ISPHCDA, Rev. Sr. Dr. Maria-Joannes Uzoma, who highlighted state-level successes in improving healthcare infrastructure and promoting health insurance.
The meeting reinforced the commitment of the Imo State Government to advancing women’s well-being and leadership.
