… Gives directives on NOCIA project in the Council’s Premises in line with government procedure
The Ngor Okpala Local Government Council Executive Chairman, Hon. Chief Mrs. Chika Ibekwe on this 7th day of January 2025 received the representatives of Ngor Okpala Congress in America (NOCIA) as they paid courtesy visit to Ngor Okpala LGA Chairman.
The NOCIA president and leader of the Delegation, Chief Sabinus Ezekwe on behalf of NOCIA congratulated Hon. Chief Mrs. Ibekwe on her emergence as the new Executive Chairman of Ngor Okpala Local Government Council.
Chief Ezekwe utilized the opportunity of their visit to inform the LGA Chairman, Chief Mrs. Ibekwe on their intention to fence the NOCIA building with block walls as NOCIA is getting ready to put the convention center they built into use.
The Ngor Okpala Council Boss, Chief Mrs. Chika Ibekwe offered to inspect the NOCIA building and the entire project site where NOCIA intends to fence with block walls. After her inspection, she made her recommendations in line with government guiding principles and advised NOCIA not to erect a block walled fence inside government premises, but rather put a transparent rail. She further advised NOCIA on security and how to make their facility more attractive for public use.
Chief Mrs. Ibekwe strongly disapproved the erecting of a block walled fence by NOCIA in government premises as she soliciously expressed the implication it has on security of the Council, and moreso, considering other facilities the Council has beside NOCIA building, such as the LGA Stadium and other structures under construction within the area.
