Nigeria’s Loss, Heaven’s Gain

Tribute to the late Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwanyanwu OFR, CFR, MFR (Ahaejiagamba Ndi Igbo).
Today we honor the life and times of Chief Emmanuel Iwanyanwu, a giant, a father and leader whose legacy will forever resonate through the annals of our history.
We remember a foremost engineer and a foremost statesman who dedicated lifework and craft, presence and wisdom to developing and fortifying his people and the society.
Chief Emmanuel Iwanyanwu was not merely a leader; he was a father of philanthropy. He gave selflessly, stretching out his hands in generosity to uplift all and sundry around him in the society.
A beacon of kindness and compassion with a palpable mission to restore hope and dignity, he obeyed the call to be a builder for God and a builder of men, dedicating his life to raising other pillars in the society for the service of humanity, and also dedicating his life to the higher calling of faith.
Even with all of these, Chief Emmanuel wore his cap laudably as the leader of the Igbo race.
With deep commitment to his people and a dedication to upholding our values, he carried the mantle of unity, integrity, strength and pride; inspiring all of us ndi Igbo to stand together and work towards common goals.
Our leader was a lover of peace and a peacemaker himself, devoting his passion and energy to conflict resolution and fostering understanding and communal living.
He stood rightly as champion of the Charter of Equity in Imo state and beyond, advocating tirelessly for fairness and justice.
We bid farewell to a pillar, a man of principles and virtue, and a true son of the soil whose life was a gift to us all. May his legacy live on in our hearts and in this land. Rest in peace, our beloved leader, father and mentor.
