ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Today, we proudly mark the One-Year Anniversary of the Bring Back Ohakim (BBO) 2027 Organization—a people-driven initiative founded on the enduring principles of justice, equity, continuity, and purposeful leadership for Imo State.
Within just one year of its establishment, BBO 2027 has evolved from a visionary idea into a formidable political force, widely recognized as one of the most vibrant, organized, and influential grassroots organizations not only in Imo State but across Nigeria’s contemporary political landscape.
Over the past year, the organization has recorded remarkable milestones, including:
- Reigniting Statewide Political Consciousness:
BBO 2027 has successfully sparked robust political discussions across Imo State, reintroducing governance discourse centered on performance, legacy, and equitable power rotation. - Repositioning the Equity Narrative:
The organization has played a leading role in advancing the Imo Charter of Equity, reinforcing the moral and political justification for Imo North (Okigwe Zone) to produce the next governor. - Grassroots Mobilization Structure:
We have built a strong and expanding network across the three senatorial zones, 27 Local Government Areas, and 305 wards, with active and highly coordinated leadership structures that ensure effective engagement at every level. - Institutionalization of Ward Leadership:
A defining strength of BBO 2027 has been the discipline, resilience, and operational effectiveness of its ward leadership structure, which serves as the engine room of the organization. Across communities, ward leaders have sustained mobilization, deepened voter awareness, and ensured that the message of equity and continuity resonates at the grassroots. - Diaspora Engagement Framework:
BBO 2027 has successfully integrated Imo citizens in the diaspora into its advocacy structure, creating a global support base for the organization. - Legacy Reawakening Campaign:
Through strategic communication and documentation, the organization has revived public awareness of the achievements of the Ohakim administration (2007–2011), correcting misinformation and strengthening public confidence. - Policy and Intellectual Engagement:
The organization has contributed meaningfully to policy discussions on governance, youth inclusion, infrastructure, and economic development, positioning itself as not just a political advocacy group, but a thought leader in governance reform. - Emergence as a Political Pressure Force:
BBO 2027 is now widely acknowledged as one of the fiercest, most disciplined, and strategically coordinated political support organizations, capable of shaping narratives, influencing public opinion, and mobilizing electoral momentum.

On this significant milestone, the organization pays special tribute to the Director General, Capt. Bishop C. Johnson (US Army, Rtd.), whose exceptional leadership has been instrumental in shaping the identity, structure, and operational success of BBO 2027.
Under his guidance, the organization has benefited from strategic clarity, disciplined organization, and a results-driven approach rooted in his distinguished military background and deep expertise in security, leadership, and organizational management. His ability to harmonize diverse interests, build a cohesive statewide structure, and inspire confidence across all levels of the organization has positioned BBO 2027 as a model of grassroots political organization.
His leadership has not only strengthened internal coordination but has also elevated the organization’s credibility, transforming it into a respected and influential voice in Imo’s political space. Through vision, resilience, and unwavering commitment, he has ensured that BBO 2027 remains focused, organized, and mission-driven.
Special recognition goes to our Zonal, LGA, and Ward leaders, whose tireless efforts continue to sustain the organization at the grassroots level. Your dedication remains the backbone of this organization.
To all members of BBO 2027 both at home and across the diaspora, we say thank you. Your belief, resilience, and commitment are the driving force behind this organization.
As we enter our second year, we remain resolute and focused. The mission is clear:
To restore the tested leadership of His Excellency, Dr Ikedi Ohakim, consolidate past gains of His His Excellency, Dist Senator, Hope Uzodinma CON , and build a more inclusive, secure, and prosperous Imo State.
BBO 2027 is not just a campaign, it is an organization for justice, a platform for equity, continuity and competence, and a call to collective action.
