Imo@50: Imo State Government Unveils Star Honours Recipients—-Ohakim, Mbakwe, Uzodimma, Ukaegbu, Egu, Obinna, Dan Stach Others Make Prestigious List
As part of activities marking the Golden Jubilee of Imo State, the State Government has unveiled an illustrious list of eminent personalities selected for the Imo State @ 50 Star Honours, in recognition of their exceptional service, enduring legacies, and outstanding contributions to the growth, governance, culture, and global image of the State.
The honours were approved by His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo State, and are designed to celebrate both living legends and revered departed heroes whose lives and works have shaped Imo State across generations.
Prominent among the awardees is former Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Chief Ikedi Ohakim, whose administration is widely remembered for its emphasis on environmental governance, infrastructure renewal, institutional reforms, and the projection of Imo State as a model of order, cleanliness, and administrative discipline. Ohakim’s inclusion among the Grand Service Star recipients underscores the enduring impact of his leadership and his place in the continuum of Imo State’s development history.
