The leadership of Orluzurumee Socio-Cultural Organization, the apex umbrella body of Orlu sons and daughters, on penultimate Monday, paid a high-level courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Ralph Nwosu, Esq, in his office at the State Secretariat, Owerri.

The delegation, led by the President-General, Rt. Hon. Ugochukwu Nzekwe, comprised principal officers and eminent members of the organization’s Executive Council.

Speaking during the visit, Rt. Hon. Nzekwe said the purpose of the engagement was to formally interface with one of the most outstanding members of the current Imo State Executive Council and to strengthen the partnership between Orluzurumee and relevant government ministries towards the accelerated development of Orlu Zone.

He described the Commissioner as “a distinguished son of Orlu, a silent achiever, a star performer and pacesetter in the cabinet of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma.”

According to Nzekwe, the work ethic, visibility, and impact of the Ministry of Works under Nwosu’s leadership have continued to bring honour not only to the government but to Orlu Zone at large. He commended the Commissioner for the quality of road infrastructure being delivered across the state, noting that the transformational projects have raised public confidence in governance and strengthened the narrative of competence within the zone.

He further emphasized that Orluzurumee recognises and celebrates its illustrious sons and daughters who are distinguishing themselves in public service, adding that the organization is committed to sustained collaboration with government to promote peace, development and strategic representation.

Responding, Hon. Ralph Nwosu expressed profound appreciation to the Orluzurumee leadership for the honour of the visit and for their consistent support for the administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

He said he remains committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure that meets global standards, stressing that the Governor’s passion for rebuilding Imo has inspired his team to exceed expectations. The Commissioner pledged to continue making Orlu Zone proud through accountability, diligence and the execution of landmark projects.

He described Orluzurumee as a unifying force for Orlu people and commended the Executive Council for its efforts toward community development, social harmony and cultural preservation.

The visit ended with renewed assurances of partnership between the organization and the Ministry of Works, as Orlu Zone continues to position itself as a beacon of excellence and unity within Imo State.

While the visit lasted, and towards the end of the interface with our host, two notable and noble sons of Orlu who are equally members of Cabinet of the performing Governor of Imo State walked in and were part of the titbits marking the closing of the interactions. Highlights of the moment included pleasantries, goodwill messages and discussions on strategic collaborations, and a group photograph.
