The Member Representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency at the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Obinna Egu, Ph.D, joined other dignitaries from various walks of life to receive the Remains of a foremost Nigerian Leader, Late Chief Engr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport.
Making a welcome remark, Rt. Hon. Egu described Late Chief Iwuanyanwu as a champion for the people and acknowledged his instrumentality to the establishment of Imo Airport and dedication to unity and development of Imo State, Igbo land and Nigeria at large.
He noted that Late Chief Iwuanyanwu was a great patriot who built vast empire and created opportunities and employment for countless Nigerians.
He expressed deep sadness over Chief Iwuanyanwu’s exit, noting that his passing has left an indelible void. He however prayed for God to repose his soul and give all those he left behind, the fortitude to bear his demise.
Chief Iwuanyanwu until his death, was the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.
