Your Excellency, we do not just celebrate a birthday — we celebrate a relationship.
We of Mbaitoli local Government Area, consider this day, most auspicious to thank God for your life and express our deep appreciation for the unique relationship we share.
As you mark your birthday today, we feel a sense of obligation to thank God for your life and wish you a future that enriches history.
We cannot forget easily, as Governor of Imo State between 2007 – 2011,
you gave our people opportunities in appointments, related with us with dignity and deep affection and ensured we had our fair share of infrastructure development.
Through the strategic appointments of our sons/daughters in your cabinet, empowerment of our youths in skill acquisition, provision of roads, water and health care infrastructure, employment under the 10,000 graduate program and other tangible benefits, you etched your name in our hearts.
We strongly believe that the good Lord that has guided you through mine fields and kept you strong, healthy and alive to see this day, has not finished with you. God spares the lives of special pencils for a purpose.
We celebrate a man who believed in us, walked with Mbaitoli under rain and sunshine. A man who opened his doors, his heart, and his government to our sons and daughters because of sheer belief in credibility and competence. That stands you out as a transformative leader per excellence. You treated us as partners in governance and for that, we remain eternally grateful. When others made promises, you delivered. When others played politics, you gave policies. When others forgot, you remembered Mbaitoli.
Your Excellency, Chief (Dr.) Ikedi Godson Ohakim, as you reflect over personal accomplishments, challenges, triumphs and milestones over the years, remember that you are not alone.
The good people of Mbaitoli are not just supporters — we are believers in your mission. We are witnesses to your legacy. And we are beneficiaries of your leadership. As the bells of 2027 toll, may God’s will be done in your life.
Imo State people will always remember your good works and find wisdom in asking you to DO MORE.
