The political atmosphere in Okigwe South Federal Constituency is gradually taking shape as the 2027 general elections draw closer. Comprising Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma, and Obowo Local Government Areas, this federal constituency has witnessed a peculiar trend in representation at the National Assembly over the last twelve years. For three consecutive terms, Obowo LGA has produced the Member representing the constituency, a development that has sparked conversations around fairness, inclusion, and political balance among the three sister LGAs.
In response to these concerns, the revered leaders and stakeholders of Okigwe Zone initiated the Charter of Equity a moral and political framework designed to guarantee rotational representation, foster unity, and give every LGA a sense of belonging. By the clear dictates of this charter, and in the spirit of justice and brotherhood, 2027 presents an unassailable opportunity for Ihitte Uboma LGA to produce the next Member of the House of Representatives for Okigwe South. This is not just about zoning. It is about equity, stability, and honoring agreements that bind a people together.
Among the sons and daughters of Ihitte Uboma who have distinguished themselves in service, capacity, and character, Comr. Simon Ebegbulem stands tall as the most suitable and prepared to carry the collective aspirations of Okigwe South to the Green Chamber. He is not a stranger to leadership. He is not a stranger to sacrifice. And he is certainly not a stranger to the struggles of the common man across Ehime Mbano, Ihitte Uboma, and Obowo.
