Stop Deceiving Our People, Bede Eke Warns Amadi

…Says, “Are You Running for Senate or Governor?”
…Advises Ngor Okpala Residents Not to Follow Him to APP
Former federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Bede Eke, has cautioned Dr. Matthew Chima Amadi, founder of The Mazi Gburugburu Campaign Organisation, against what he described as attempts to mislead the people of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area about his true political intentions.
Eke’s warning followed Amadi’s recent comments claiming that both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were unsettled by his unveiling of the Action Peoples Party (APP) as his new political platform.
Reacting, Eke accused Amadi of seeking public attention through baseless criticisms of Governor Hope Uzodinma’s administration.
“Dr. Matthew Chima Amadi has been touring various local government areas, pretending to be running for governor, while many of us know he actually intends to contest for the Senate. He is deceiving the unsuspecting public, making the people of Ngor Okpala and Imo State believe he wants to succeed Governor Uzodinma,” Eke said.
The former lawmaker further dismissed the APP as a party lacking political structure in Imo State, the South-East, or anywhere in Nigeria, warning his constituents not to be misled.
“Ngor Okpala people cannot follow him to a political platform that has no foothold in the state,” Eke cautioned.
He challenged Amadi to openly declare his real political ambition, urging the people of Ngor Okpala to remain steadfast in their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Uzodinma’s 3R Administration, which he said has provided purposeful leadership and delivered significant infrastructural projects across the state.
“APC is growing stronger by the day, attracting more members and winning more states,” Eke stated.
“As one of the largest LGAs in Imo in terms of voting strength, Ngor Okpala cannot afford to align with a party that would render us politically irrelevant in 2027.”
Eke concluded by reaffirming his community’s commitment to the APC:
“Ngor Okpala delivered for the APC and Governor Uzodinma in 2023. Come 2027, we shall do even more for the ruling party.”
