In a grand cultural and political celebration on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Dr. Kaduru Chijioke, an esteemed public health expert philanthropist, and human and community development enthusiast, was conferred with the traditional title of โNkwa Chikwere 1 of Obiangwuโ by His Royal Highness Eze Samuel Ordu, Chimereze-oduji III of Obiangwu Autonomous Community. The title, meaning โThe Promise That God Madeโ is a profound recognition of Dr. Kaduru’s impactful work in grassroots development and public service. The venue – the palace of the traditional ruler in Obiangwu – Ngor Okpala LGAโset the tone for a colorful and deeply symbolic event attended by dignitaries, traditional rulers, political figures, and citizens from Imo State, and beyond.
Dr. Kaduruโs conferment came as a cultural endorsement of his leadership, his community service, and his vision for the future of Imo East. Central to this recognition is his role as the founder of the Nkwa Chikwere Community Development Movement, a people-focused initiative promoting access to education, healthcare, skills acquisition, civic participation, and youth empowerment.
