Barrister Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike) Writes To People Of Owerri Zone

My dear People of Owerri Zone,
We stand once again at the threshold of history, poised to reclaim our rightful place in the leadership of our dear state under the aegis of the Imo Charter of Equity. On April 13, 2023, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, received the Imo Charter of Equity, a document meticulously crafted by the Imo Council of Elders to promote peace, unity, and fairness in our state. This momentous occasion also marked the rebirth of the Owerri Zone Political Leaders Forum (OZOPOLF).
OZOPOLF, the highest socio political movement from Owerri zone, advocating for the Charter of Equity, ensures the rotation of the governorship seat among our three political zones, beginning with Owerri Zone in the coming dispensation. Since our formation in 2014, we have been steadfast in our commitment to this cause. Many of us in the leadership conclave of OZOPOLF have faced numerous challenges in our struggle to actualize this ideology, yet our resolve remains unshaken.
Governor Hope Uzodimma, known for his integrity and commitment to agreements, has consistently promoted the principle of equity. His pledge to support the Owerri Zone’s bid to produce the next governor in 2027/28 is a testament to his dedication and conviction. His support, despite being from Orlu, inspires us to unite and rally behind this mission.
Our zone has consistently been a good host and delivered the highest number of votes. Now, it is time for our voices to be heard. Let us unite in this noble quest for fairness and justice. Together, we can champion peaceful action and dialogue to re-actualize the power of rotation.
As we welcome you to join us in this important mission, we encourage you to offer your full cooperation and support.
We therefore crave your indulgence to add your name in this leadership collaboration led by Prince Charls Amadi, Charlvon.
By adding your name to this leadership council as a recognized leader from Owerri Zone, your dedicated contribution to our united pursuit for fairness and equity is what we seek.
To opt out is an option; to stay in is living.
The time for equity is now. The time for Owerri Zone is now.
Long live, OZOPOLF!
Long live Imo State.
Thank you, and God bless.
Barr. Kingsley Ononuju (Ekwedashike)
National Secretary,
OZOPOLF
